About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee the Oklahoma City, Oklahoma territory
  • Identify and implement event and activity plans for the territory
  • Build awareness of online academic programs in education, healthcare and business
  • Drive inquiry generation and develop high-impact territory partnerships
  • Deliver informational presentations and communicate through calls and emails
  • Counsel prospective students, families and partners in person, by phone and via email
  • Promote the Grand Canyon Education mission, Grand Canyon University student success and institutional growth
  • Work independently toward ambitious targets
  • Support prospective students through the admissions process from application through completion of their first few classes
  • Guide students toward successful online learning experiences
  • Travel extensively within the territory

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3+ years of success in outside business development, consultative sales or account management
  • No delinquent or defaulted federal student loan, as verified in credit report
  • If in a rehabilitation program, credit report must show current, non-delinquent payments
  • Outstanding time management and prioritization skills
  • Clear communication and well-developed listening skills
  • Self-motivation and drive to succeed
  • High emotional intelligence and ability to demonstrate empathy
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and flexible schedule
  • Clean driving record and ability to use a personal vehicle
  • Availability for some evening and/or weekend events
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Relevant industry-related professional experience is a bonus
  • Experience working with CRM tools is a bonus
