About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide program instruction in an online format for the College of Education’s Distance Learning course.
- Incorporate innovative teaching methodologies, cutting-edge technologies, and industry trends.
- Equip students with the required skill set and facilitate classroom discussions.
- Assess student performance and prepare students to become successful leaders in their chosen profession.
- Facilitate weekly main discussion forums in the online classroom.
- Adhere to weekly grading requirements, deadlines, and timeframes.
- Respond to students’ questions and emails within established timeframes.
- Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Preferred: Doctorate in Ed. Tech., Inst. Tech., Curr. and Inst., Inst. Design, Distance Education, Distance Learning, or related field.
- Minimum: Master’s degree in one of these fields AND two areas of exceptional expertise.
- Valid state teacher certification required.
- Five years of PreK-12th grade classroom teaching experience or experience as a technology specialist or director of technology required.
- Ability to facilitate online instruction, discussions, grading, and student communications.
- Support the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.
