About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop real-time automation solutions from the manufacturing plant floor to the enterprise level
- Engineer and implement real-time automation controls and information solutions
- Conceptualize solutions during the design phase of the project life cycle
- Program, debug, and test systems
- Create project engineering notes, proposals, design traceability documentation, case studies, and other documentation
- Commission new solutions at client sites and identify improvement opportunities
- Create methodologies and solve complex problems
- Learn new technologies
- Mentor colleagues on expertise and knowledge
- Work with PLC and PAC programming, HMI and operator interface design, SCADA, networks, databases, vision systems, machine safety, servo motion control, information solutions, MES, ERP connectors, and high-level software solutions
- Collaborate with clients and technical and non-technical stakeholders
Requirements
What you’ll need- Successful or upcoming completion of a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or related Engineering Technology discipline
- 6–8+ years of practical experience with PLCs, SCADA/HMI, networking, databases, motion, safety, or high-level programming
- Academic or industry experience with Ignition (Vision & Perspective), Allen-Bradley, and/or Beckhoff TwinCAT strongly preferred
- Meticulous, conscientious, analytical, focused, and able to learn complex systems quickly
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to interface with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong organizational ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in fast-paced environments
- Flexibility for local travel with occasional day trips
- Opportunity and availability for additional travel within India
