Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and implement real-time automation controls and information solutions
  • Conceptualize solutions during the project design phase
  • Program, debug, and test systems
  • Create project engineering notes, proposals, design traceability documentation, case studies, and other documentation
  • Commission new solutions at client sites
  • Identify opportunities for improvement
  • Create methodologies and solve complex problems

  • Mentor colleagues using subject-matter expertise
  • Work with machine and process control, information solutions, database development, operational efficiency, and mechatronics
  • Design and configure PLC/PAC, HMI, SCADA, network, database, and vision systems

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Successful or upcoming completion of B.Sc. in Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related Engineering Technology degree
  • At least 5–7 years of working experience with some or all listed technologies
  • Experience with PLC/PAC programming, HMI, SCADA, networking, vision systems, and related automation technologies
  • Meticulous, conscientious, analytical, focused, self-starter individual and quick learner
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Full-time access to a personal vehicle
  • Willingness to travel up to 30–50% within USA
  • Experience in food and beverage and life sciences industries preferred
  • Experience with DeviceNet, ControlNet, DH+, Remote IO, Modbus preferred but not necessary
  • Experience with Python, Historian (PI System), and databases is a plus
