About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and implement real-time automation controls and information solutions
- Conceptualize during the design phase of the project life cycle
- Program, debug, and test systems
- Create project engineering notes, project proposals, project design traceability documentation, case studies, and other documentation
- Commission new solutions at client sites and identify improvement opportunities
- Create methodologies and solve complex problems
- Learn new technologies
- Mentor colleagues on areas of expertise
- Work with machine and process control, information solutions, database development, operational efficiency, and mechatronics
Requirements
What you’ll need- Successful or upcoming completion of B.Sc. Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related Engineering Technology degree
- Academic or working experience with some or all the listed technologies
- Experience with PLC and PAC programming, HMI application design, SCADA design, network design, database design, or vision system design
- Meticulous, conscientious, analytical, focused, self-starter individual and quick learner
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Valid Driver’s License
- Full-time access to a personal vehicle
- Candidate must be located in eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, or Maryland
- Willingness to travel up to 30-50% in PA, NJ, NY, DE, and MD
- Employee will be associated with and report to Grantek's Allentown, PA office
