Key responsibilities & impact

Engineer and implement real-time automation controls and information solutions
Conceptualize solutions during the project design phase
Program, debug, and test systems
Create project engineering notes, proposals, design traceability documentation, case studies, and other documentation
Commission new solutions at client sites
Identify opportunities for improvement
Create methodologies and solve complex problems
Learn new technologies
Mentor colleagues on relevant expertise and knowledge
Develop real-time automation solutions from the manufacturing plant floor to the enterprise level

What you’ll need

Successful or upcoming completion of B.Sc. Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related Engineering Technology degree
At least 5–7 years of working experience with some or all listed technologies
Experience in food and beverage and life sciences industries preferred
Experience with PLC and PAC programming, HMI application design, SCADA design, network design, database design, and vision system design
Meticulous, conscientious, analytical, focused, self-starter individual who is a quick learner
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Valid Driver’s License
Full-time access to a personal vehicle
Willingness to travel up to 30–50% within the USA
Experience with DeviceNet, ControlNet, DH+, Remote IO, and Modbus preferred but not necessary
Experience with Python, Historian (PI System), and databases is a plus
