About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Participate in overall production outcomes associated with the die cutting department
Work in the Printing WIP area to facilitate movement and transfer of WIP product through the Cutting Department
Maintain and organize the production floor
Gain knowledge to prepare for a next-level position in die cutting or another facility department
Aerate all pallets of product produced by the press department or other materials as requested
Utilize SAP ZSCH to maintain and organize the production floor
Stage product for die cutting departments
Assist PMR and Separating departments when needed
Assist the die cutting department with transferring tooling during make ready
Cover breaks on die cutting equipment once trained
Generally assist throughout the department when needed
Help maintain facility SQF compliance
Clean, lubricate, and maintain the Aerator
Follow plant rules, processes, hygiene, allergen, and SQF procedures
Report potentially unsafe food conditions or customer complaints to a person of authority
Participate in SQF root cause and corrective actions as required
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

High school education or equivalent
Computer literate
Miscellaneous helper qualified
Mechanical skills
Technical skills
Communication skills
Good attendance
Able to motivate other team members and participate in teams and processes
Must be willing to work all shifts
Ability to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
Ability to reach with hands and arms
Ability to walk or climb
Ability to lift or carry 10 to 35 pounds frequently and 36 to 50 pounds occasionally; weights above this require team lifting
Ability to work near moving mechanical parts and exposure to dust, heat, cold, vibration, and potential work hazards
Personal Protective Equipment is required
Willingness to work in a union environment
