About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support the Die Cutting Manager in providing support, direction, and training to achieve KPI improvements through driving operational performance
Demonstrate commitment to safety and perform job duties in accordance with policies and procedures
Make-ready, adjust, and run jobs efficiently to meet safety and productivity standards
Examine job orders to determine quantity to be cut, stock specifications, and special die cutting instructions
Examine cutting dies for visual defects and apply correcting solution to repair minor defects
Make necessary adjustments to ensure quality
Ensure information is communicated between shifts
Perform required maintenance and cleaning of the Die Cutter, including stooping under machinery, entering confined spaces, and climbing ladders
Accurately record production metrics through SAP
Promote orderliness and cleanliness of the work area in support of SQF/5S and company standards
Perform all other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong mechanical aptitude/skills
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Ability to understand technical written and verbal instructions
Strong computer and math skills required
Ability to accurately distinguish color variation
Must be able to work other shifts and overtime as necessary
Prior folding carton experience preferred
Occasional bending, reaching, twisting and stooping
Ability to read computer screens and other electronic devices
Occasional squatting and kneeling for cleaning and clearing jams
Pushing/pulling/lifting to 50 lbs.
Ability to distinguish color
Compliance with facility food safety, food defense, and quality policies and procedures
