About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Communicate information between shifts.
  • Ensure Company Safety, Quality, and Production standards are met.
  • Perform maintenance duties involving stooping under machinery, entering confined spaces, and climbing ladders.
  • Troubleshoot, adjust, and debug machine lines to finalize them in-house or at customer facilities.
  • Use hand and electrical tools and equipment.
  • Work independently under minimal supervision while collaborating with the team.
  • Perform duties in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with changing assignments.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma preferred, technical school education, or equivalent.
  • Heavy mechanical/operator level skills in a manufacturing environment.
  • Two years of related manufacturing focus experience in a converting facility or similar type preferred.
  • Must have knowledge of mechanical and pneumatic components.
  • Trained knowledge in mechanical assembly standards, engineering standards, or other applicable procedures and parts flow.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to follow directions and work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to interpret and translate designs and documentation.
  • Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, adjust, and debug machine lines in-house or at the customer's facility.
  • Thorough attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer and data entry skills.
  • Understanding of and ability to abide by applicable OSHA and environmental regulations.
  • Visual color discrimination, including matching or detecting differences between colors and shades.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Good attendance and strong leadership abilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and speak effectively before groups.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic, calculate rate, ratio, and percent, and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule instructions.
  • Frequent overtime required.
  • Flexibility to work any shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work near moving mechanical parts and exposure to dust, fumes, heat, cold, vibration, toxic conditions, and potential work hazards.
  • Personal Protective Equipment is required, including hearing protection, safety glasses, safety shoes, and gloves.
