About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Set up and operate machines to cut folding cartons
  • Review job tickets
  • Conduct pre-make ready as required
  • Set up dies, counter plates, stripping section, and press
  • Pull front trim as required
  • Clean counter plates and strip down locked-up dies
  • Clean the area around the press
  • Perform maintenance as required
  • Deliver cut cartons to the finishing department
  • Follow plant rules, processes, hygiene, and allergen procedures for producing Safe Quality Foods
  • Report potentially unsafe conditions and customer complaints to a person of authority
  • Participate in SQF root cause and corrective actions as required
  • Follow all procedures related to producing Safe Quality Foods

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 1-3 years related experience and/or training
  • Basic skills in Active Learning, Active Listening, Critical Thinking, Mathematics, Monitoring Plant Performance, Reading Comprehension, Writing, and Complex Problem Solving
  • Must be able to work 8 hour shifts plus overtime as required
  • Willingness to work alternate schedules occasionally, including early mornings, nights, and/or weekends
  • Must be punctual
  • Ability to wear required PPE, including safety shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection
  • Ability to perform the listed physical demands, including standing, walking, pushing/pulling, lifting, stair climbing, kneeling, crouching, bending, hand coordination, and repetitive reaching
