About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist in operation of assigned and support equipment, including sheeters, printers, cutters, and gluers
- Perform make-ready activities and ensure production and quality levels meet established standards
- Observe company safety rules and comply with safety practices
- Document required quality checks for the work center
- Assist in the safe and efficient operation of production and support equipment
- Help identify and resolve process and machine problems
- Prepare necessary reports to accomplish production goals
- Perform general housekeeping in the assigned area
- Promote orderliness and cleanliness in support of SQF/5S and company standards
- Understand customer requirements and deliver results that meet or exceed expectations
- Stop processes that do not meet food safety or customer quality requirements
- Perform other assigned duties
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma/Equivalent required
- At least 6 months of experience with the same or similar equipment is preferred
- Frequent/strenuous physical effort (lifting, moving heavy objects, etc.) required
- Frequently exposed to conditions involving noise, fumes, and hazardous chemicals
- Must be able to work overtime as required
- Must comply with company safety rules and safety practices
- Must support and be involved in LEAN, 5’s, Six Sigma, and other Continuous Improvement programs and processes
- Must comply with facility food safety, food defense, quality, product safety, GMPs, and sanitation policies and procedures
