About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Set up and operate straight-line gluers and related peripheral/supporting equipment to manufacture folded and glued cartons
  • Stack box blanks in the feed mechanism
  • Observe automatic feeding, folding, and gluing to detect machine malfunctions
  • Inspect completed work, verify conformance to work-order specifications, and adjust machinery to correct variations
  • Pack finished product into corrugate boxes, palletize finished product, and print labels
  • Maintain daily time and materials usage reports and record information in SAP and PEAK
  • Perform preventative maintenance and disassemble machines to maintain, repair, or replace broken or worn parts
  • Install and adjust guide assemblies, forming bars, and folding mechanisms according to box dimensions and work-order specifications
  • Adjust machine controls, pressure rolls, component speed, glue pressure, and monitor glue pressure
  • Assist temporary employees with task assignments while reinforcing SQF standards and company values
  • Report potentially unsafe conditions or SQF-related noncompliance to a person in authority
  • Keep the building clean and orderly
  • Complete the plant-wide painting schedule
  • Assist in SQF audits
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Manufacturing experience required
  • 2-5 years relevant experience required
  • Excellent attendance
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
  • Ability to work alternate schedules and overtime, including early mornings, nights, and/or weekends
  • Punctuality
  • Ability to use hand tools
  • Ability to record information in SAP and PEAK
  • Ability to reinforce SQF standards
  • Ability to report unsafe conditions and noncompliance with SQF-related procedures
