About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Remove cartons from the machine
- Inspect cartons to ensure they are glued and formed properly
- Pack cartons into cases and tape completed boxes closed according to manufacturing specifications
- Perform quality checks
- Pull stacks of cartons from the machine, drop stacks on a table, fan out stacks, and tap them to check for defects
- Palletize products as needed
- Perform flat packing and rework
- Check carton glue levels throughout the shift and report problems to the Glue Machine Operator/Feeder
- Assist the Glue Machine Operator and Feeder to keep the machine running
- Document QA manufacturing checks and production reporting
- Provide break relief as needed
- Keep the manufacturing area and production machine clean
- Follow GMP, safety, manufacturing, food safety, AIB, HACCP, and food defense procedures
- Perform other reasonable tasks requested by production management
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be 18 years or older
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Mechanical/technical aptitude
- Manufacturing or production background preferred but not required
- Computer skills
- Ability to work safely
- Ability to work with others
- Must be flexible and willing to work other shifts, overtime, and weekends
- Must be able to speak, read, and write English
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to continuously or prolongedly stand and bend
- Ability to work in an environment with dust, noise, fumes, weather, poor lighting, and heavy production machinery/equipment
