About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage repair and maintenance of manufacturing facilities and equipment
- Direct, leverage, and guide the work of others and mobilize resources
- Monitor and achieve operational and/or financial results for the assigned area
- Manage people-related actions including hiring, terminating, rewarding, training, and developing employees
- Supervise entry-level and experienced professionals and potentially paraprofessional employees
- Set team goals and objectives to achieve operational results
- Support the team with day-to-day activities
- Coordinate with other areas to achieve department objectives
- Ensure policies, practices, and procedures are understood and followed
- Develop and administer schedules and performance requirements
- Interact with internal personnel and occasionally external personnel
- Participate in and present at meetings with internal representatives
- Follow plant rules, processes, hygiene, and allergen procedures related to Safe Quality Foods
- Report potentially unsafe conditions and customer complaints
- Participate in SQF root cause and corrective actions as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- BA or equivalent + 15 yrs related experience, or MA + 13 yrs related experience
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Knowledge of repair and maintenance of manufacturing facilities and equipment
- Ability to install, repair, and maintain mechanical and electronic equipment, tools, and instruments
- Ability to install, repair, and maintain manufacturing facilities infrastructure
- Ability to make/machine replacement tools and parts for manufacturing operations
- Ability to plan and prioritize work orders and schedule repair and maintenance activities
- Ability to supervise entry-level and experienced professionals and potentially paraprofessional employees
- Ability to hire, terminate, reward, train, and develop employees
- Understanding of Safe Quality Food rules, processes, hygiene, allergen, root cause, corrective action, audit, validation, and verification procedures
