About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Contribute to effective Maintenance Department operations by implementing, expanding, and maintaining the Predictive Maintenance Program (PDM).
- Coordinate equipment repairs with the Maintenance Manager to reduce unplanned downtime.
- Track and manage spare-part usage in the CMMS.
- Unpack, inventory, and stock items.
- Perform complex troubleshooting involving refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, and other specialized areas.
- Implement, maintain, monitor, and update the Maintenance CMMS.
- Assign work orders to Craftsmen and Technicians.
- Schedule machine-repair time before breakdowns.
- Develop and present reports on PDM Program progression.
- Maintain records of equipment work and corrective actions.
- Initiate purchase orders for repair and spare parts and equipment upgrades.
- Order parts, materials, and supplies.
- Prepare and ship packages.
- Serve as backup for the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Perform other assigned duties.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Technical School/1 Year College, and/or 3 to 5 years of experience is preferred.
- Specialized skills required are computer programming, complex mechanical systems, trending reports, and excellent communication abilities.
- Must be supportive of GPI’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values (Integrity, Respect, Accountability, Relationships, and Teamwork).
- Must be supportive and involved in GPI efforts for LEAN, 5S, Six Sigma and other Continuous Improvement programs and processes.
- Ability and responsibility to stop any process that is not meeting food safety requirements.
- Ability and responsibility to stop any process that is not meeting customer quality requirements.
