About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide maintenance support for all facility equipment
  • Work with all plant departments on process improvement initiatives
  • Help set priorities for repairs and improvements
  • Perform problem solving and troubleshooting to meet daily production requirements safely
  • Uphold safe work practices and maintain clean, neat, and orderly maintenance work areas
  • Use SAP to determine storeroom spare-parts availability
  • Address maintenance, systemic, and chronic issues on plant equipment during the assigned shift
  • Monitor department work-order backlog and complete planned repairs promptly
  • Respond to and support Production with timely resolution of plant-equipment issues
  • Comply with company and department safety, quality, productivity, and security procedures
  • Communicate machine and department issues to managers, supervisors, and coworkers and present data-based solutions aligned with continuous-improvement objectives
  • Perform and record preventative maintenance activities in SAP
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair high-speed equipment, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and basic PLC/drive systems
  • Support Lean/5S systems
  • Enter maintenance notifications, confirm hours worked, and create work orders in SAP daily
  • Follow Safe Quality Food procedures and report unsafe conditions or customer complaints
  • Participate in SQF root-cause and corrective actions as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3-5 years Industrial Maintenance Experience
  • Proficient in SAP or Equivalent CMMS Experience
  • Journeyman Craftsman or Equivalent (Must Provide Documentation)
  • Proficient with basic hand tools/power tools
  • Working Knowledge of Shop Floor Machines and Tools
  • Intermediate Trouble shooting (Pneumatics/Hydraulics/mechanical/electrical systems)
  • Basic PLC/Drive troubleshooting
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Proficient in Preventive Maintenance Methodologies
  • Able to Identify and Locate spare parts as needed
  • Good organization skills
  • Good written and oral communications skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office, Outlook and Internet research skills
  • Ability to continuously walk, twist, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to follow plant safety, quality, productivity, security, hygiene, allergen, and Safe Quality Foods procedures
