About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage repair and maintenance of manufacturing facilities and equipment
- Install, repair, and maintain mechanical and electronic equipment, tools, and instruments
- Install, repair, and maintain manufacturing facilities infrastructure
- Make and machine replacement tools and parts for manufacturing operations
- Plan and prioritize work orders and schedule repair and maintenance activities to minimize production downtime and disruptions
- Direct, leverage, and guide the work of others and mobilize resources
- Monitor and achieve operational and financial results for the area of responsibility
- Supervise entry-level or semi-skilled hourly production, craft, and clerical employees
- Coordinate resources and set daily team priorities to ensure task completion and operational objectives
- Monitor daily operations of a unit or sub-unit
- Apply operational business practices and coordinate with related areas to improve efficiency
- Direct operations of work units
- Make people-management decisions, including hiring, terminating, rewarding, training, and developing employees
- Follow Safe Quality Food procedures and report unsafe conditions or customer complaints
- Participate in SQF root cause and corrective actions as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- BA degree or related work experience required in lieu of degree
- Ability to perform essential functions satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Knowledge and application of established procedures in the functional area
- Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day technical and operational problems
- Ability to coordinate resources and set daily team priorities
- Ability to follow plant rules, processes, hygiene, and allergens procedures related to Safe Quality Foods
- Ability to report potentially unsafe SQF conditions and customer complaints
- Ability to participate in SQF root cause and corrective actions
- Ability to supervise entry-level or semi-skilled hourly employees
- Ability to manage people, including hiring, terminating, rewarding, training, and developing employees
