About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Install and repair electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical/electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment
  • Follow electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications
  • Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures using test equipment
  • Replace damaged or broken wires, cables, and faulty electrical components including relays, switches, motors, and position sensing devices
  • Test malfunctioning machinery and discuss malfunctions with machine operators and maintenance workers
  • Analyze equipment problems and perform root cause analysis
  • Install conduit and wiring
  • Identify hazards and advise management of dangers associated with operating equipment
  • Perform basic metal fabrication using a welder

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Ability to follow safe work practices in accordance with company policies, OSHA regulations and electrical code
  • Ability to work from elevated surfaces such as scaffolding, platform lift, and ladders
  • Ability to perform basic metal fabrication using a welder
