About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide mechanical and electrical support to ensure continuous operation of all facility areas
  • Install and repair electrical devices throughout the plant
  • Perform breakdown repairs, preventive maintenance, and predictive maintenance on production equipment, utilities, buildings, and grounds
  • Complete parts requisitions, work orders, and timesheets in the system
  • Work independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrate safe work practices
  • Troubleshoot routinely using PLCs
  • Complete associated paperwork
  • Adhere to preventive and predictive maintenance schedules
  • Read and work from mechanical and electrical blueprints
  • Operate forklifts to remove and replace extremely heavy parts
  • Operate machine tools to make and repair parts
  • Remove and replace parts from machinery

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must be able to speak, read and write English
  • Must have working knowledge of basic mechanical fundamentals
  • Ability to perform tasks per instructions
  • Ability to work well without supervision when needed
  • Ability to use PLCs for routine troubleshooting
  • Ability to read and work from mechanical and electrical blueprints
  • Ability to operate a forklift
  • Working knowledge of machine tools, including drill presses, welders, and grinders
  • Physical ability and coordination to remove and replace machinery parts
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in heat, humidity, tight areas, noise, and around oils, solvents, and related chemicals
  • Ability to follow all guidelines related to SQF Guidelines
