About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Install and repair all electrical devices within the plant
  • Perform breakdown, preventative, and predictive maintenance on production equipment, utilities, buildings, and grounds
  • Complete parts requisitions, work orders, and timesheets in the Computerized Maintenance Management System
  • Disassemble defective electrical equipment, replace defective or worn parts, and reassemble equipment
  • Replace fuses, light sockets, bulbs, and switches
  • Use PLCs for routine troubleshooting
  • Complete associated paperwork
  • Adhere to preventative and predictive maintenance schedules
  • Read and work from mechanical and electrical blueprints
  • Perform other duties assigned by management

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Two-year technical degree in mechanical systems or equivalent experience plus five years applicable experience
  • 7–10 years of related maintenance experience in a converting facility preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Self-sufficient and cost-effectively perform mechanical and pneumatic assembly operations
  • Complete knowledge and understanding of complex assembly drawing blueprints
  • Extensive knowledge of mechanical and pneumatic components
  • Mechanical assembly skills on large equipment are a plus
  • Ability to troubleshoot, adjust, and debug machine lines in-house or at customer facilities
  • Ability to perform inquiries and printouts in manufacturing and engineering systems
  • Knowledge of Mechanical Assembly Standards, Engineering Standards, applicable procedures, and parts flow
  • Ability to use PLCs for routine troubleshooting
  • Ability to read and work from mechanical and electrical blueprints
  • Demonstrated safe work practices
  • Ability to work independently and on teams
