About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Operate the console controlling automatic palletizing equipment
Sort, transfer, and stack finished-product cases on pallets
Read packaging specifications and ensure correct pallet types and case arrangements
Observe pallets on the conveyor to identify defective cases, slip sheets, or pallets
Control case stacking arrangements and transfer loaded pallets to the delivery platform
Supply loading equipment with empty pallets and slip sheets
Stop and restart equipment to clear jams
Inform the supervisor of equipment malfunctions
Operate automatic bagger equipment, including threading bags and completing startup
Coordinate with business operations and the cutting department
Follow Safe Quality Food procedures and report unsafe conditions or customer complaints
Participate in SQF root-cause and corrective-action activities as required

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School Diploma or equivalent required
Manufacturing experience preferred
Must be able to work other shifts if needed
Must be able to perform overtime work as required
Ability to read, write, and speak English
Excellent communication skills
Mechanically inclined and solution oriented
Some computer knowledge
Ability to work alternate schedules, including early mornings, nights, and/or weekends
Must be punctual
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Physical ability to pull a full pallet weighing 1,500–2,000 lbs. with a handtruck
Ability to perform awkward and repetitive movements
Ability to work in fluctuating temperatures
Ability to use various hand and electrical tools and equipment
Ability to follow plant, process, hygiene, allergen, and Safe Quality Food procedures
