About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform general housekeeping in assigned areas
Assist in press operations safely and efficiently
Follow direction from department leadership, Press Operators, and 2nd Press Operators to support production needs
Back up the Press Helper as required
Learn all aspects of press operations and train on department equipment
Support machine operations as assigned
Ensure product quality, production efficiencies, and scrap rates meet or exceed standards
Comply with facility production and product safety standards, including food safety, food defense, and quality policies
Stop processes that do not meet food safety or customer quality requirements
Understand customer requirements and deliver results that meet or exceed expectations
Perform other assigned duties

Requirements

What you’ll need

Entry-level position
Frequent/strenuous physical effort, including lifting and moving heavy objects
Frequently exposed to noise, fumes, and hazardous chemicals
Must be able to work overtime as required
Must follow company safety rules and safety practices
Must support GPI’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values
Must support and participate in LEAN, 5S, Six Sigma, and other Continuous Improvement programs and processes
