About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Set and maintain color and machine capability production standards
  • Prepare, operate, clean, and perform minor maintenance on presses and printing work areas
  • Inspect completed work for defects and conformance to work-order specifications
  • Adjust machinery to correct production variations
  • Move raw, in-process, and finished materials using material-handling machinery and tools
  • Maintain daily time and materials usage reports and enter records in SAP and PEAK
  • Perform preventative maintenance and housekeeping duties
  • Operate and troubleshoot printing press equipment
  • Clear jams and prepare machines and make-ready equipment to meet customer specifications
  • Adjust machine controls and verify finished-product quality, including register, print-to-cut, cut scores, bent flaps, and curl defects
  • Uphold Graphic Packaging International’s values and reputation in relationships with customers, employees, suppliers, competitors, investors, and governmental agencies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Basic computer skills and data entry
  • Visual color discrimination, including the ability to match or detect differences between colors and shades
  • Ability to work eight- to twelve-hour shifts, including overtime
  • Ability to operate and troubleshoot printing press equipment
  • Ability to use hand tools and material-handling machinery as required
  • Ability to record information in SAP and PEAK
  • Ability to perform preventative maintenance, minor maintenance, and machine disassembly/repair tasks
