About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead operation of the printing press, including overall start-up, shut-down, day-to-day procedures, and maintenance
- Perform a wide variety of production-related tasks
- Verify and follow production schedules, job specifications, and instructions
- Perform make-ready, setup, and operation of the press
- Follow quality control procedures to obtain high quality and ensure customer satisfaction
- Monitor printing and press-related processes and make necessary adjustments
- Perform basic troubleshooting
- Complete job logs, production, and quality paperwork
- Clean presses and perform preventative maintenance
- Provide direction, training, and guidance to crew members
- Follow company safety requirements, rules, and regulations
- Perform other duties required to achieve company goals and objectives
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proficient in reading, writing and speaking to receive and give directions and instructions
- Perform mathematical functions as related to press operations
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve printing problems
- Enhanced listening skills and ability to follow directions
- Safely perform all tasks on and around press equipment
- Knowledge of printing processes
- Mechanical aptitude
