About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Operate sheeting equipment during daily operations
  • Follow current control plan specifications and matrix requirements
  • Enter rolls into PEAK and SAP
  • Reconcile sheeted material for proper inventory control
  • Check size, job number, customer name, stock type, and caliper
  • Perform make-readies, changeovers, and back-side printing on equipment
  • Meet control plan requirements for caliper, de-curl, sheet squareness, and related specifications
  • Perform housekeeping, maintenance, work orders, and belt replacement
  • Remove pallets from the sheeter using a forklift
  • Lift and carry ink buckets and stacks of sheets
  • Move rolls using an easy mover
  • Follow Safe Quality Food procedures and report unsafe conditions or customer complaints
  • Participate in SQF root-cause and corrective actions as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Manufacturing experience preferred
  • Sheeting and/or paperboard experience preferred but not required
  • Must have physical coordination to operate a forklift
  • Must be able to obtain forklift certification
  • Knowledge of basic machinery, tools, and equipment preferred
  • Basic computer knowledge preferred
  • Forklift experience preferred
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write English
  • Basic math skills
  • Mechanical aptitude is a plus
  • Ability to work alternate schedules and overtime, including early mornings, nights, and/or weekends
  • Must be punctual
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. without assistance and up to 100 lbs. with assistance
  • Ability to frequently climb stairs and work in fluctuating temperatures, noise, vibration, odors, dust, and non-climate-controlled conditions
  • Ability to move rolls up to 7,500 lbs. using an easy mover
