About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Receive and inspect goods and verify items against shipment records
  • Gather, verify, and pack items for shipment according to specifications and applicable transportation methods
  • Record received and shipped items
  • Apply shipping and receiving processes, procedures, and systems
  • Communicate with other departments and outside organizations to obtain or provide information
  • Determine appropriate courses of action for routine manual work
  • Follow Safe Quality Food procedures related to production
  • Report potentially unsafe SQF conditions and customer complaints
  • Participate in SQF root cause and corrective actions from complaints, audits, validation, and verification activities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • May require vocational/technical training
  • Full knowledge of the job
  • Skilled in a range of processes, procedures, and systems
  • Ability to modify work practices/processes to achieve results or improve efficiency
  • Ability to solve atypical or infrequent problems using established practices and procedures
  • Ability to communicate with other departments and outside organizations
  • Ability to work with limited supervision
  • Ability to make decisions and exercise limited discretion
  • Ability to follow Plant rules, processes, hygiene, allergens, and Safe Quality Food procedures
  • Ability to report unsafe conditions and customer complaints
  • Ability to participate in SQF root cause and corrective actions
  • BA or equivalent plus 10 years of related experience, or MA plus 8 years of related experience
  • Ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
