About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Enforce the use of safety equipment and clothing according to OSHA and company regulations
  • Ensure project-site team members comply with company safety requirements
  • Maintain appropriate safety records
  • Ensure work areas are neat, safe, and orderly
  • Investigate incidents and complete required reports
  • Assist the Site Manager with administrative counseling for non-compliant team members and subcontractors
  • Conduct safety meetings and jobsite reviews as part of coordination meetings
  • Conduct daily safety meetings
  • Conduct orientation and jobsite-specific training
  • Communicate, implement, and enforce Gray’s safety program on site
  • Indirectly manage subcontractor safety personnel
  • Perform other assigned duties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR 5+ years of related construction experience in lieu of a degree
  • OSHA 30 Hour card
  • Previous experience in an industrial construction environment is required
  • 5+ years with data center or mission-critical experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of safety/environmental principles and techniques
  • Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office suite programs
  • Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing
  • Energetic, self-motivated, collaborative, and committed to professional development
  • Visa sponsorship is not available
  • Ability to frequently stand, walk, sit, use hands and arms, reach, and talk or hear
  • Ability to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch
  • Ability to frequently lift/move up to 25 lbs and occasionally lift/move up to 100 lbs
  • Accurate near and distant vision
  • Ability to work in wet/humid conditions, around moving mechanical parts, outdoors, at heights, and around fumes, airborne particles, extreme temperatures, electrical hazards, explosives, vibration, and moderate-to-loud noise
  • Overtime may be required
