About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and mentor architectural and design staff
  • Collaborate with the Project Team to define roles and responsibilities and ensure shared ownership of project deliverables
  • Develop and support technical proposals, design schedules, and cost estimates
  • Review and oversee design proposal criteria and contribute to detailed technical proposal documents
  • Function as the design lead on smaller proposals, typically less than 10 million dollars
  • Conduct research on design strategies, building codes, and regulatory requirements
  • Consult with customers to determine functional and spatial requirements
  • Prepare and present integrated architectural and engineering design layouts
  • Support QA/QC efforts for design documentation across disciplines and consultants
  • Support preparation and submission of design documents to the Authority Having Jurisdiction
  • Maintain adherence to company and industry standards, procedures, and best practices
  • Review and provide input and oversight on deliverables produced by Architectural Technicians and other design disciplines
  • Support construction administration tasks, including submittal reviews, RFIs, site observations, and monitoring special inspections
  • Supervise Architectural Technicians and other team members, including training, work assignment, performance input, complaint handling, and problem resolution
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and a minimum of five (5) years of related experience; or a degree from a four-year college or university or technical college with a minimum of seven (7) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proficiency in architectural design software (AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam) and business software
  • Experience designing in Revit is highly preferred
  • Experience producing architectural drawings is required
  • Excellent organization, communication, interpersonal, and team coordination skills
  • Energetic, collaborative mindset with a passion for creative problem-solving
  • Proven ability to manage dynamic projects and adapt to evolving priorities

  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
