About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Enforce OSHA and company safety equipment and clothing requirements
  • Ensure project-site team members comply with company safety requirements
  • Maintain appropriate safety records
  • Keep work areas neat, safe, and orderly
  • Investigate incidents and complete required reports
  • Assist the Site Manager with administrative counseling for non-compliant team members and subcontractors
  • Hold safety meetings and jobsite reviews as part of coordination meetings
  • Conduct daily safety meetings
  • Conduct orientation and jobsite-specific training
  • Communicate, implement, and enforce Gray’s safety program on site
  • Indirectly manage subcontractor safety personnel
  • Travel to project sites as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR 5+ years of related experience in lieu of a degree
  • OSHA 30 Hour card
  • Experience in an industrial construction environment is highly preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of safety/environmental principles and techniques
  • Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office suite programs
  • Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing
  • Energetic, self-motivated individual with a passion for collaboration and professional development
  • Must be eligible to work without visa sponsorship
  • Must live anywhere in the USA and be willing to travel to project sites throughout the United States and, in some cases, outside the U.S.
  • Ability to meet physical demands, including frequent standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and lifting up to 25 lbs frequently and 100 lbs occasionally
  • Ability to work in wet, humid, outdoor, mechanical, high-place, temperature-extreme, electrical, explosive, vibration, and moderate-to-loud-noise environments
  • Overtime may be required
