About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Define and deliver the category strategy
  • Deliver agreed stock requirements to all ProCook channels
  • Determine promotional and pricing activities to drive sustainable growth, sales and profitability
  • Work closely with Buying on category forecasting and demand planning
  • Create and maintain trackers and planners for range architecture and performance visibility
  • Monitor and analyse stock, availability and sales performance trends
  • Develop forecasts by product category, SKU, channel and location
  • Lead and manage category and promotional critical paths
  • Act as an ambassador across functions to deliver Commercial activity on time and in full
  • Maintain the Range Plan, Trading Plan, Markdown Plan and line-level forecasts
  • Work with Buying and suppliers to confirm stock requirements, production capacity and order management
  • Provide weekly, seasonal and ad hoc analysis to senior stakeholders
  • Incorporate financial reporting and budget requirements into merchandise plans and recommendations
  • Develop and communicate quarterly demand planning with suppliers
  • Establish promotional and seasonal forecasting models
  • Coordinate product forecasts with Buying and communicate them to Supply Chain
  • Manage clearance products and price actions to achieve stock, sales and margin targets
  • Manage open-to-buy options and stock plans
  • Coordinate Inner/Outer management with Buying for warehouse and retail requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must have experience in retail merchandising environment
  • Solid knowledge of range and category management
  • Project management skills to facilitate and track cross-functional tasks, spotting potential risks and managing the
  • Data driven with good analytical and forecasting skills
  • Strong stakeholder management skills in order to work across multiple teams
  • Excellent communication and people skills
