About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide guidance on effective utilization of HR tools and solutions
- Coach and mentor leaders to strengthen leadership capabilities, improve team performance, and enhance employee engagement
- Support leaders and teams through organizational changes
- Advise leaders on staffing, compensation, benefits, training, performance management, and workforce planning
- Leverage HR data and analytics to provide insights and recommendations
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and collective bargaining agreements
- Liaise between organizational leaders and HR teams
- Partner with Talent Management, Total Rewards, and HR Operations
- Promote a positive workplace culture by addressing trends impacting morale and productivity
- Partner with the Employee Relations Specialist on investigations, conflict resolution, and policy application
- Align business objectives with people strategies and advise leadership on workforce strategies, talent management, and organizational effectiveness
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred)
- Four (4) years of human resources experience (preferred)
- Understanding of HR functions, including staffing, compensation, benefits, training, employee relations, and performance management
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations (e.g., FMLA, ADA, FLSA, Title VII, NLRA) and their application in unionized and non-unionized settings
- Understanding of organizational design, workforce planning, and change management principles
- Knowledge of strategies to support employee engagement and improve workplace culture
- Strong coaching skills to guide leaders in addressing performance, engagement, and team dynamics
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey complex HR topics clearly and concisely
- Skilled at facilitating difficult conversations and resolving conflicts
- Ability to influence without direct authority and build consensus among leaders and employees
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
- High level of self-awareness, empathy, and interpersonal sensitivity to handle employee issues with tact and professionalism
- Commitment to handling sensitive information with the utmost discretion and professionalism
- Ability to see the big picture and align HR strategies with organizational goals
