About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Configure, modify, test, and maintain Epic and other clinical applications
  • Build collaborative relationships with hospital leadership, clinical department users, and corporate departments
  • Handle complex build and configuration tasks and resolve advanced issues
  • Provide support for reliable application availability and performance
  • Design, verify, document, and refactor software configurations
  • Investigate and resolve application issues
  • Develop and execute test plans and evaluate design options
  • Analyze and optimize clinical workflows in Epic EHR
  • Gather requirements and feedback from physicians, nurses, IT staff, and other stakeholders
  • Configure templates, order sets, and other Epic features
  • Monitor system performance, manage upgrades, patch systems, and troubleshoot technical issues
  • Provide technical support for Epic EHR issues
  • Enforce security protocols and monitor data privacy for HIPAA compliance
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and implement Epic best practices
  • Conduct unit, integration, and user acceptance testing
  • Train clinical staff and users and provide ongoing support
  • Develop and maintain reports for clinical outcomes, performance metrics, and patient care quality
  • Design, configure, and optimize medication management workflows in Epic Willow

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master’s degree in arts/sciences (MA/MS) OR Doctorate of Pharmacy
  • Pharmacist Iowa Board of Pharmacy (United States of America) Upon Hire
  • Epic certification in Willow module or the ability to obtain certification within six months of hire
  • 1-3 years Pharmacy experience
  • Scheduled hours Monday-Friday, 7:00am-4:00pm, with on-call rotation throughout the whole department
  • Experience in clinical, operational, or financial workflows relevant to the supported module (preferred)
  • Experience in healthcare IT or clinical operations (preferred)
