About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and implement category, sourcing and supplier strategies aligned with business objectives and value-for-money outcomes
  • Lead complex end-to-end procurement activities, including market engagement, evaluation, negotiation and contract finalisation
  • Provide strategic commercial advice on procurement, contracts, supplier performance and market opportunities
  • Drive operational efficiencies, cost savings and supplier performance improvements
  • Build partnerships with internal stakeholders, suppliers and contractors
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives strengthening procurement capability, governance and value delivery
  • Report to the Head of Procurement & Property
  • Support the delivery of operational services across Greater Western Water’s service area

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Extensive experience in strategic sourcing, category management and procurement within operational, maintenance, supply chain or infrastructure environments
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience negotiating complex contracts and commercial agreements
  • Proven ability to develop and execute category strategies that deliver value, reduce risk and improve performance
  • Strong analytical, influencing and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience managing supplier relationships and driving performance outcomes
  • Degree qualification in Business, Procurement, Engineering or a related discipline, or significant relevant experience
  • Successful candidate must complete pre-employment checks, including reference checks, medical assessments, a national police check, and verification of working rights in Australia
