About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as a Behavioral Health Subject Matter Expert providing clinical expertise in developing resources and identifying best practices around evidence-based guidelines for tobacco use disorder
- Work with the Department of Health, statewide Behavioral Health Workgroup, and tobacco cessation stakeholders to support the Tobacco-Free Health Systems contract
- Conduct environmental scans
- Develop tools, resources, and educational content
- Create content for the Learning Management System (LMS)
- Develop and deliver local and statewide presentations
- Serve as a Quality Improvement Advisor supporting Regional Implementation Contractors, health systems, and healthcare providers
- Support regional implementation efforts
- Collaborate with health systems and providers on quality improvement initiatives
- Provide guidance and support to advance tobacco cessation efforts
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree or higher in a behavioral health field or equivalent
- Licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN) in New York State
- At least three (3) years of experience working on behavioral health-related projects
- Experience in quality improvement is preferred
- Proficiency in developing resources, identifying best practices, and contributing to report writing and deliverables
- Significant experience in Behavioral Health and Quality Improvement (QI)
- Hands-on experience with PDSA (Plan-Do-Study-Act) cycles
- Strong clinical expertise in behavioral health and tobacco use disorder
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with project leads and team members
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Benefits
Comp & perks- Competitive compensation at $55.00 per hour
- 20 to 24 hours per week, Monday to Friday during office hours (day shift)
- No regular weekend or holiday availability required; occasional brief meetings or training may be required with advance notice
