About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Collaborate with cross-functional leaders and drive business outcomes
- Develop budgets, forecasts, and monthly/quarterly reports
- Conduct new product analysis, data analytics, strategic projects, and company-wide planning
- Report to the Finance Team Lead and collaborate with executives across departments
- Establish close working relationships with business leaders and act as a liaison with executive management
- Support product, engineering, marketing, and commercial sales teams with custom financial modeling, scenario analysis, and market insights
- Analyze actual financial results versus budget/forecast and provide actionable decision support
- Support investor relations and corporate development activities, including peer benchmarking and evaluation of partnerships, investments, and acquisition targets
- Own or contribute to forecasting, budgeting, resource allocation, and annual/long-range planning
- Support month-end and quarter-end close processes and audit support
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in strategic finance, FP&A, corporate development, investment banking, private equity/venture capital, management consulting, or a high-growth company
- 5+ years directly relatable work experience
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Advanced Excel / Google Sheets modeling and technical skills
- Excellent analytical skills and mindset
- Proven ability to influence across functions and levels
- Enthusiasm to learn and evolve skillset over time
- Strong accounting and systems knowledge
- Data visualization skills and ability to synthesize complicated analyses in simple ways
- Strong understanding of consumer subscription or FinTech business models and metrics including CAC, LTV, retention, cohort analysis, and ARPU
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to present recommendations to executives
- Strategic thinking, ownership mentality, detail orientation, and high standards
- Ability to build bespoke financial models from scratch
