About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide overall strategic leadership, governance, and management for Greenpeace Southeast Asia, Philippines
  • Represent GPSEA-PH in the GPSEA Programme Director’s Team
  • Lead execution of national program strategies and steer the Country Coordination Team
  • Provide political, legal, socio-economic, and environmental analysis
  • Integrate campaign goals, engagement tactics, and fundraising opportunities into cohesive program delivery
  • Direct national campaign execution, monitoring, evaluation, and learning
  • Plan, monitor, and oversee country programme and campaign budgets
  • Enforce security protocols and risk mitigation controls
  • Foster collaboration across Programme, Engagement, Fundraising, and Operations
  • Participate in regional-global program strategy development and implementation
  • Convene and chair the Country Coordination Team
  • Provide program impact and strategic updates to leadership
  • Line manage, review, mentor, and coach the country programme team
  • Serve as internal focal point for legal, crisis, and safety management
  • Liaise with the Executive Director and national Board on governance and compliance
  • Serve as chief spokesperson and official external/legal representative
  • Build strategic alliances, coalitions, and partnerships for environmental and climate justice
  • Engage with regional and global Greenpeace peers
  • Ensure delivery of work plans, budgets, campaign milestones, and country reporting
  • Respond to emerging political opportunities, social trends, and breaking events
  • Ensure strategic rigor, policy accuracy, brand integrity, and safety compliance across campaign outputs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Social/Environmental Sciences, Political Science, Management, or related field
  • Minimum 8–10 years of senior leadership experience in environmental campaigning, NGO management, strategic planning, and people management
  • Proven track record in political advocacy, media representation, coalition building, financial oversight, and change management
  • Excellent written and spoken English and Filipino
  • Based in Manila office, Philippines
  • Ability to provide strategic leadership, governance, and management for GPSEA-PH
  • Ability to lead national campaign and program strategies aligned with regional and global plans
  • Ability to oversee budgets, security protocols, risk mitigation, legal compliance, and statutory compliance
