About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the delivery of civil engineering works on utility-scale Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects across Ireland
  • Manage civils activities from pre-construction through to project completion
  • Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to required quality standards
  • Manage civils works across multiple renewable energy projects
  • Coordinate subcontractors, site teams, consultants, and suppliers
  • Monitor programme progress and drive timely project delivery
  • Support project handover and close-out activities
  • Monitor project costs, budgets, and forecasts
  • Review subcontractor applications, variations, and change management
  • Identify and manage project risks and opportunities
  • Support contractual correspondence and commercial reporting
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company procedures, legislation, and industry standards
  • Review RAMS and construction methodologies
  • Support audits, inspections, and quality assurance processes
  • Act as a key point of contact for clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams
  • Attend and lead progress meetings as required
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with project stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline
  • Chartered status or working towards professional accreditation
  • Temporary Works Coordinator training
  • Minimum five years’ experience managing civil engineering or infrastructure projects
  • Strong understanding of construction programmes, subcontractor management and project controls
  • Experience delivering renewable-energy, utility or power-infrastructure projects
  • Knowledge of NEC4, FIDIC or EPC contracts
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills
  • Full clean driving licence
