About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Secure thoughtful, earned media coverage for clients
- Build relationships with local, trade, and national reporters
- Devise and suggest story angles showcasing clients’ products, services, and thought leadership
- Media train clients and provide support prior to interviews
- Craft press releases, bylined articles, blog posts, social media posts, and other written content
- Stay current on industry trends and understand client-specific issues, processes, terms, products, and regulations
- Develop and deploy strategic plans for award submissions, conference appearances, speaking opportunities, and media relations campaigns
- Engage and communicate with clients
- Use industry and productivity tools, including AI, in day-to-day work
- Assist with reporting and communicate the value and impact of work to clients
- Train and mentor junior staff
Requirements
What you’ll need- Candidates must be in commuting distance to our Philadelphia-area office
- Strong media relations skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to think creatively
- Attention to detail
- Ability to balance multiple projects and hit deadlines
- Desire to be part of a high-energy, team-oriented PR practice
- Undergraduate degree
- Two to four years of PR experience
- Competency with industry tools and productivity tools, including AI utilization
