Key responsibilities & impact
  • Plan and oversee the installation of devices on electric poles in remote areas, ensuring adherence to project timelines, specifications, safety standards, and local permits
  • Work closely with line crews to provide clear instructions, guidance, troubleshooting, and supervision during installation
  • Act as a liaison between Gridware and utility companies, local authorities, and community members
  • Use internal tools to maintain accurate records of installation activities, site conditions, issues, and corrective actions
  • Conduct site assessments and verify readiness for installation
  • Address technical challenges encountered during setup

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 1-3 years of experience in field installation, technical support, or a related role
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to provide clear direction and effectively oversee contractors and line crew personnel
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate professionally with cross-functional teams, crew members, and utility customers
  • Ability to work independently in the field and adapt to dynamic and changing environments
  • Strong proficiency in spoken & written English
  • Knowledge of utility infrastructure, installation techniques, and safety regulations
  • Proficiency in using GPS/GIS mapping tools or other outdoor mapping platforms
  • Experience working with or as utility contractors, particularly pole inspection companies
