About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Administer, secure, and further develop Linux servers
- Manage the existing Microsoft/Windows infrastructure
- Administer web servers and web-based systems
- Take responsibility for server and infrastructure topics relating to internal systems and, in part, customer environments
- Modernize and automate existing structures
- Support technical interfaces and ERP-related processes
- Build new solutions together with developers
- Critically evaluate third-party software and simplify processes
- Develop automations and explore new technologies
- Integrate AI effectively into administration, development, and business processes
- Take ownership of the systems under your responsibility
- Help shape the IT landscape as the company relocates from Bremen to Osterholz-Scharmbeck
- Contribute to modernizing, streamlining, and potentially replacing existing systems
Requirements
What you’ll need- Solid foundation in system administration
- Knowledge of Linux
- Knowledge of Microsoft/Windows
- Knowledge of server administration
- Knowledge of web servers
- Knowledge of networking
- Knowledge of IT security
- Technical curiosity and the ability to learn and understand things independently
- Strong communication skills
- Willingness to take responsibility
- Experience with or interest in Docker, virtualization, APIs, Git, CI/CD, reverse proxies, monitoring, databases, ERP, Bash, PowerShell, Python, local LLMs, Claude Code, Ollama, DevOps, and AI agents
