About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Set up and operate equipment in a biologics processing environment for plasma-derived pharmaceuticals
- Disassemble, clean, sanitize, and reassemble production equipment
- Operate support fill equipment, including glass inspection stations, rinser/tunnel, VAM, and over sealer
- Load carts with vials or syringes
- Perform SIP/PBC operations and filter integrity testing
- Prepare chemical solutions for production use while following department safety rules
- Perform material handling and glass inspection activities
- Maintain facility housekeeping and keep production areas clean and uncluttered
- Document sanitization activities, production procedures, batch records, and logs in real time
- Monitor and operate computer control systems such as SCADA and Andover
- Assist with process control manipulations and use analytical equipment
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma
- Bioworks Certification preferred
- Good math and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to perform skills in an aseptic environment while maintaining product sterility
- Production work experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment desired
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently as a member of a team
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Continuous standing, walking, and some bending required
- Off-shift and overtime work may be necessary
- Class A/B gowning qualification for facility cleaning of fill suites
- Ability to operate motorized transport equipment such as forklifts and lift jacks
- Ability to communicate and understand spoken and written information
- Ability to follow written or oral instructions and procedures
- Ability to perform precise coordinated finger, hand, and wrist movements
- Ability to meet specified vision, hearing, and color perception requirements
- Ability to work around biological fluids, infectious organisms, chemicals, electrical equipment, moving machinery, high noise levels, and confined spaces
- Ability to use required personal protective equipment, including protective eyewear, chemical suits, safety shoes or rubber footwear, gloves, hearing protection, and a respirator
