About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform complex laboratory analysis of plasma and plasma products in a GMP laboratory
  • Accession samples and prepare samples and reagents
  • Conduct testing and calculate results
  • Perform quality control of assays and equipment
  • Support assay validation, method transfer, reagent qualification, and control qualification
  • Perform laboratory maintenance activities as assigned
  • Perform environmental monitoring of fill lines in B300 and SFF
  • Perform environmental monitoring of classified production areas and sample site utility systems
  • Execute the Quality Oversight program for fill lines
  • Provide quality control approval of on-site air flow visualizations
  • Support filling activities across shifts to avoid production delays and maintain environmental monitoring controls
  • Perform tasks according to written SOPs and oral instructions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Assistant level requires an AA or BS degree in medical technology/clinical laboratory science, or a BS degree in biology, chemistry, or related field, plus 6–12 months of applicable laboratory experience
  • Associate level requires an AA or BS degree in medical technology/clinical laboratory science, or a BS degree in biology, chemistry, or related field, plus 2 years of applicable laboratory experience
  • Background in medical technology/clinical laboratory science preferred
  • Experience in a GLP/GMP laboratory preferred
  • Comfortable working with infectious material daily
  • Able to work in a biological safety cabinet and with a microscope for several hours at a time
  • Proficient with micropipettes and serological pipettes, including dilutions and serial dilutions
  • Keen attention to detail and ability to perform complex tissue culture assays and maintain cell lines
  • Able to follow SOPs and oral instructions
  • Precise, legible, and organized documentation skills
  • Willing to perform cleaning duties and housekeeping
  • Ability to perform the physical, visual, and communication requirements described, including lifting up to 35 lbs
