About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Investigate product technical complaints and in-house investigations involving manufacturing samples
- Troubleshoot issues involving intermediate products, equipment, final containers, and other samples from manufacturing
- Investigate returned products for particle isolation and identification using FTIR/RAMAN
- Perform container closure testing and investigate potential product quality issues reported by patients or medical personnel
- Collect and evaluate raw data
- Write investigation reports
- Maintain the laboratory and laboratory equipment
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of two years of college-level chemistry courses, including one year of general chemistry with associated laboratory work, analytical quantitative chemistry with associated laboratory work, and other chemistry coursework with associated laboratory work
- AA or BS degree in medical technology/clinical laboratory science, or BS degree in biology, chemistry, or a related field
- 2 years of applicable laboratory experience
- Background in medical technology/clinical laboratory science preferred
- Experience in a GLP/GMP laboratory preferred
- Ability to work in office and laboratory/manufacturing environments
- Ability to handle exposure to biological fluids and potentially infectious organisms
- Ability to use electrical office and laboratory equipment
- Ability to sit or stand for 2–4 hours per day
- Frequent hand, finger, wrist, and foot movements; precise coordination to grasp and manipulate objects
- Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs
- Color perception/discrimination and near vision correctable to 20/30 in one eye and 20/100 in the other
- Ability to communicate complex information clearly and understand spoken and written information
- Ability to follow written or oral instructions and procedures
