About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work in warehouse, refrigerated, and freezer areas at temperatures of -30°C or colder
- Handle and move boxes and pallets manually and with automated equipment
- Operate robotic equipment and troubleshoot complex faults, including Robotic Vision Systems
- Operate automated systems through HMI for fault recovery
- Manage plasma inventory using WMS during storage and retrieval in automated freezers
- Identify and separate plasma types and intermediates for storage in Savanna WMS
- Perform critical functions during automated equipment maintenance and WMS reconfiguration
- Troubleshoot and reconcile faults in automated storage, retrieval, and conveyor systems
- Interpret and verify freezer work orders issued from the Plasma Management System (SGP)
- Record and interpret daily logs of automated equipment issues and downtime
- Communicate faulty equipment details to Facility Maintenance
- Train Automation Team members at progressive levels
- Use Radio Frequency Terminal scanners
- Perform and reconcile weekly cycle counts and support internal and external inventory auditors to maintain SOX compliance
- Print and verify temperature records for -35°C freezers and +5°C rooms and respond to temperature issues
- Maintain cGMP compliance through cleanliness and organization
- Interpret and follow written procedures
- Communicate with management and coordinate workflow and issue resolution
- Assist management with problem resolution, task completion, and resource planning
- Collaborate with Quality, Plasma Operations, Logistics, and internal and external customers on pallet and case storage and handling issues
- Operate electric pallet jacks and forklifts to make deliveries to on-site customers
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous experience with automated systems
- Highly skilled in operating robotic equipment, including complex systemic faults such as Robotic Vision Systems
- Ability to operate automated systems through Human Machine Interface (HMI)
- Ability to learn and operate inventory control systems including SAP, SGP, and Savanna
- Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting automated storage, retrieval, and conveyor systems
- Knowledge of validated temperature monitoring systems
- Fall Protection Training certification required; internal training provided
- Knowledge of cGMP
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Basic math skills
- Ability to multitask in a warehouse environment
- Good organizational skills
- Ability to frequently lift 25 to 50 lbs. repeatedly
- Ability to work in temperatures of -30°C or colder
- Ability to safely climb a 90-foot vertical ladder in a -35°C environment
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work with minimum supervision, comprehend detailed directions, and execute accordingly
- Ability to safely operate material handling equipment, including electric pallet jacks and forklifts, and adhere to related safety guidelines
