Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Educated and currently certified/licensed in the state of employment and according to state requirements as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse
  • Current CPR certification required
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
  • Ability to stand and sit for 2 to 4 hours per day each
  • Ability to bend and twist the neck for 1 to 2 hours per day
  • Frequent hand movement and ability to make fast, simple movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists
  • Ability to make precise coordinated finger movements to grasp and manipulate objects
  • Ability to squat, crouch, or sit on heels occasionally
  • Ability to lift 15 lbs. routinely and up to 50 lbs. maximum
  • Hearing acuity essential
  • Correctable near and far vision; specified color perception/discrimination requirements
  • Ability to communicate and understand spoken and written information
  • Ability to work independently and follow oral or written instructions
  • Ability to perform varied tasks under changing conditions
  • Ability to relate sensitive information to diverse groups
  • Ability to work in a plasma center with exposure to biological fluids and infectious organisms
  • Ability to work with electrical office and laboratory equipment
  • Ability to work in extreme cold below 32°F while performing plasma-freezer functions
  • Ability to use required personal protective equipment
