About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct pre-donation medical screening
- Interact with and respond to customer needs
- Assess donor suitability and engage in set-up
- Provide appropriate feedback to ineligible donor candidates
- Ensure all donor screening information is complete
- Ensure donor confidentiality
- Work in a plasma center performing sitting, standing, bending, twisting, hand movements, and occasional squatting or crouching
- Use personal protective equipment including protective eyewear, garments, gloves, and cold gear
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School diploma or GED
- Superior customer service standards
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Interest in making a difference in the world
- Obtains required state licensures or certifications where applicable
- Ability to comprehend and follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to listen to and understand spoken information
- Ability to perform a wide range of complex tasks under variable demands and changing conditions
- Ability to relate sensitive information to diverse groups
- Ability to work in a plasma center with exposure to biological fluids, infectious organisms, electrical and laboratory equipment, and extreme cold
- Ability to use required personal protective equipment
- Ability to sit or stand for an entire shift, bend, twist, and perform frequent hand and foot movements
- Ability to lift 15 lbs routinely and up to 50 lbs maximum
- Hearing acuity essential; correctable near and far vision requirements
- Color perception/discrimination
