What you’ll need

  • Obtain required state licensures or certifications where applicable
  • Ability to work in a plasma center with exposure to biological fluids, infectious organisms, electrical office and laboratory equipment, and extreme cold below 32°F
  • Ability to sit or stand for the entire shift, bend, and twist neck and waist for 1–2 hours per day
  • Frequent hand and foot movement; ability to make fast, simple, precise, coordinated finger, hand, and wrist movements
  • Ability to lift 15 pounds routinely, with a maximum lift of 50 pounds
  • Hearing acuity essential
  • Correctable color perception/discrimination, near vision, and far vision
  • Ability to comprehend and follow oral and written instructions
  • Ability to listen to and understand spoken information
  • Ability to perform complex tasks under variable demands and changing conditions
  • Ability to communicate sensitive information to diverse groups
