About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct pre-donation medical screening
- Interact with donors and respond to customer needs
- Assess donor suitability and perform set-up
- Provide appropriate feedback to ineligible donor candidates
- Ensure all donor screening information is complete
- Ensure donor confidentiality
- Perform work in a plasma center using required protective equipment
- Handle sitting or standing, bending, twisting, hand movements, foot movements, and lifting throughout the shift
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School diploma or GED
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Superior customer service standards
- Obtains required state licensures or certifications where applicable
- Ability to comprehend and follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to listen to and understand spoken information
- Ability to perform a wide range of complex tasks under variable and changing conditions
- Ability to relate sensitive information to diverse groups
- Ability to work sitting or standing for the entire shift
- Ability to bend and twist the neck and waist for 1–2 hours per day
- Frequent hand, finger, wrist, and foot movement; ability to make precise coordinated movements
- Ability to squat, crouch, or sit on one's heels when required
- Ability to lift 15 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. maximum
- Ability to reach below shoulder height
- Essential hearing acuity and color perception/discrimination
- Near and far vision correctable to 20/30 in one eye and 20/100 in the other eye
- Ability to work in a plasma center with exposure to biological fluids, infectious organisms, electrical equipment, and temperatures below 32°F
