Key responsibilities & impact

Conduct pre-donation medical screening
Interact with donors and respond to customer needs
Assess donor suitability and engage in set-up
Provide appropriate feedback to ineligible donor candidates
Ensure all donor screening information is complete
Ensure donor confidentiality
Perform work in a plasma center while using required personal protective equipment
Handle sitting or standing, bending, twisting, reaching, squatting, crouching, and laboratory/office equipment activities throughout the shift

What you’ll need

High School diploma or GED
Ability to work a flexible schedule
Superior customer service standards
Interest in making a difference in the world
Obtain required state licensures or certifications where applicable
Ability to comprehend and follow oral and written instructions
Ability to listen to and understand spoken information and ideas
Ability to perform a wide range of complex tasks under variable demands and changing conditions
Ability to relate sensitive information to diverse groups
Ability to work in a plasma center with exposure to biological fluids, infectious organisms, electrical office and laboratory equipment, and extreme cold
Ability to sit or stand for an entire shift, bend, and twist neck and waist for 1–2 hours per day
Frequent hand and foot movement; precise finger, hand, and wrist coordination
Ability to lift 15 lbs. routinely and up to 50 lbs. maximum
Hearing acuity essential
Correctable near and far vision requirements, including vision to 20/30 in one eye and 20/100 in the other eye
Color perception/discrimination
