About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct pre-donation medical screening
- Interact with donors and respond to customer needs
- Assess donor suitability and engage in set-up
- Provide appropriate feedback to ineligible donor candidates
- Ensure donor screening information is complete
- Ensure donor confidentiality
- Perform work in a plasma center while using required personal protective equipment
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School diploma or GED
- Superior customer service standards
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Interest in making a difference in the world
- Obtain required state licensures or certifications where applicable
- Ability to comprehend and follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to listen to and understand spoken information
- Ability to perform complex tasks under variable and changing conditions
- Ability to relate sensitive information to diverse groups
- Ability to work in a plasma center with exposure to biological fluids, infectious organisms, electrical equipment, and extreme cold
- Ability to sit or stand for the entire shift, bend, and twist neck and waist
- Frequent hand and foot movement; precise finger, hand, and wrist coordination
- Ability to lift 15 lbs. routinely and up to 50 lbs. maximum
- Hearing acuity and correctable near/far vision requirements
